The EVP Has to Be True Before It Can Be Told.

Our inside-out approach to employer branding.

Most employer branding starts from the outside. Define the message. Build the campaign. Launch the brand. It looks right. It sounds right. And then, three months after a new hire joins, the experience does not match the promise. Attrition follows. Trust erodes. The brand gets undone from within.

At Pomelo, we start from the inside. Before we help you tell your story to the world, we work with you to make sure that story is true. This is not a philosophical preference. It is a practical discipline that produces employer brands that hold, attract the right people, and genuinely reduce attrition over time.

What Inside-Out Means in Practice

This is why Pomelo's team spans employer branding, HR strategy, and business transformation. We have the capability to work on the inside of your organisation, not just on its external communication.

Our Four-Stage Process

1 · Discover

Stakeholder interviews, employee listening, and culture assessment. We find the gap between what you say and what people actually experience.

2 · Co-Design

Working with your leadership and HR teams to define the EVP pillars, the brand narrative, and the structural changes needed to make it real.

3 · Activate

Implementation across internal communications, onboarding, manager behaviour, people policies, and external talent channels.

4 · Embed

Ongoing tracking, leadership coaching, and culture reinforcement to ensure the brand is experienced consistently over time.

What We Look at on the Inside

A credible employer brand rests on a set of internal realities. In every engagement, we examine:

Organisation design: whether roles, structures, and reporting lines give people clarity and room to grow

Leadership behaviour: whether managers and leaders visibly live the values the brand promises

People policies: whether the policies on performance, recognition, flexibility, and development match the EVP

Commercial and operational discipline: whether the business is stable and well-run enough to deliver on its people commitments

Employee experience: whether the journey from candidate to long-tenured employee reflects the brand at every stage

Where gaps exist, we work on them. This is the structural improvement work that separates an employer brand that lasts from one that does not.

The Expertise Behind the Approach

Pomelo's inside-out capability is built on the combined expertise of Jasprit Khurana, Senior Partner for People and Culture Transformation, and Karan Bamba, Partner for Business and Organisation Transformation.

Jasprit brings 25 years of strategic HR leadership across sectors and geographies, with deep experience in EVP design, culture transformation, organisation design, and fractional CHRO advisory. She ensures the people architecture behind the brand is sound.

Karan brings over 34 years of experience in commercial operations, business transformation, and organisational scaling. Having led some of the most complex operational environments in Indian industry, he brings a business lens to EVP operationalisation: examining whether the structures, processes, and commercial discipline within an organisation are strong enough to make the employer brand believable and deliverable.

Together, they give Pomelo a capability that most employer branding firms do not have: the ability to go inside the organisation and fix what needs to be fixed, so that what you say about working with you is genuinely what people experience.
