Karan Bamba — Partner, Business and Organisation Transformation

Karan Bamba brings over 34 years of leadership in commercial operations, business transformation, and organisational scaling. His career spans some of the most demanding operational environments in Indian industry: leading pan-India commercial operations for one of the country's largest infrastructure rollouts, overseeing material accounting and contractor payment systems at a scale of billions of dollars in assets and tens of millions of dollars in monthly billing, managing multi-disciplinary transformation programmes across multiple geographies, and building and leading P&L-accountable businesses worth up to US $260 million.

In telecom infrastructure, Karan was part of the core leadership team that set up and ran commercial operations for one of India's most ambitious network builds, establishing processes across every state to manage warehousing, compliance, contractor payments, and asset capitalisation on a national scale. In the technology and engineering sector, he led service delivery transformation programmes that delivered significant margin improvement, set up a Global Service Delivery Centre from inception, and managed high-value contract negotiations and P&L turnarounds across multiple business units spanning 16 years.

This depth of operational and commercial experience is what Karan contributes to Pomelo's employer branding work. The EVP a company puts forward is only as credible as the organisation behind it. Karan's role is to ensure that credibility is real. He works with promoters and CXOs to examine whether the internal operating model, leadership structures, decision-making clarity, and commercial discipline are strong enough to support the brand promise. Where they are not, he partners on the structural work needed to close the gap.

His business lens brings a rigour to EVP operationalisation that communication alone cannot deliver. An employer brand built on operational truth attracts the right talent and keeps it.
